Our R3 SPG Technical Reviews are One Day Course uniquely designed to deliver essential regulatory and legal updates and best pracitce guidance for insolvency and restructuring professionals working within and/or small to medium sized firms.

This year's programme will include sessions on:
  • Charles Turner of CVR Global will introduce the key changes contained in the soon-to-be-released Insolvency Code of Ethics and give a reminder as to why ‘perception’ is important.
  • Redundancy Payments Service Update – following the implementation of their new case management system many of the ways in which the RPS interacts with IPs has changed. Hear directly from the RPS about what this means for you working within a smaller practice.
  • What to consider when moving practice – Kevin Pinkerton of Freeths will cover the how do you deal with the practicalities of moving practice, including the transfer of cases and what to consider when things go wrong.
  • The Insolvency Service will outline the Regulatory Objectives imposed on the RPBS and why this may have led to a change of approach by the RPBs when dealing with fees issues. What does ‘fair and reasonable’ actually mean?
  • A revised SIP 9 is due to be released for consultation – what can we expect and what is the approach of the regulators to IP fees on monitoring visits.
  • Dealing with a monitoring visit from your regulatory body – Michelle Butler will give a practical insight into what to expect and tips for dealing with any post visit follow ups.
  • Cryptocurrency – how do you, as an office holder, go about identifying, tracing and realising such assets?
